| Opus One
Inspired by grapes, the bunches that hang from the ceiling
of Opus One are actually bunches of goblets. The wooden structure
suspended from the ceiling supports six large clusters of
goblets, twisting metal and coils of green glass vines. Just
as with grapes, some of the goblets are open, the others are
not yet fully formed. The piece exemplifies the anticipation
of grapes picked at the perfect moment of ripeness. The goblets
are vine-ripened, too. |
